Every screen at once
Laptop and external monitor, same session, in sync. Open the history drawer on one and it opens on the other, so the card is wherever you are actually looking.
What you are looking at
The notch draws on every display at the same time, not just the one macOS calls main. Both copies read the same state, so a card that opens on the laptop opens on the external too, and the interactive one follows your cursor between screens. On a Mac without a hardware notch it draws a pill in the menu-bar band instead, so an external monitor gets the same thing the laptop does.
